Direct bus route is Number 2

Buses come approx. every 15 minutes and the journey is about 30 mins.

Outside the railway station, walk down the sloping approach road and cross the main road at the traffic lights. The 2 bus stop is nearby (code tj).

Ask for a (return) ticket to “Henleaze Road shops”. Sit on pavement side.

After crossing the open green space of the Downs the bus turns right at the White Tree Roundabout and passes Westbury Park shops. Then it turns left at a petrol station and you will see Waitrose.

Get off two stops after the Waitrose bus stop at the Henleaze Shops. Walk along the road in the same direction as the bus travels.

Opposite the Tesco Express / Esso filling station is the United Reformed Church. Bear left at the church and you will see the entrance to the Leonard Hall (to the right of the new hall) where the Child Contact Centre is located, with a moveable sign outside.

Return Journey

Turn left when leaving the Contact Centre and then left again at Henleaze Road to go to the nearest bus stop for the return journey.

Walk along Henleaze Road to the zebra crossing. Cross there and wait at the nearby stop for the 2 bus.

Try to sit on the pavement side of the bus. The bus goes through the City Centre and there are 4 stops in the Broadmead shopping area.

Look out for Bristol Bridge where the bus now crosses the river. The bus then travels along Victoria Street to a large roundabout. Temple Meads stop is immediately after this roundabout.

Walk up the approach road to the station.

Exit at M4 junction 19 to join M32 towards Bristol. Immediately exit M32 junction 1 on to A4174 towards Filton (right lane then under motorway). Follow this dual carriageway for two miles. At second major roundabout (Filton) go straight on along B4056 towards Southmead. Follow this road for another two miles towards Henleaze over three small roundabouts. In half a mile look out for Esso garage on left. Waterford Road is immediately on right, with the Contact Centre in the small Church hall which is the first building on the right. Our sign is outside when we are open.

Exit at M4 junction 20 ( Almondsbury Interchange) leave M4 to follow M5 southwards. Then immediately watch for A38 turn to Bristol at Junction 16 of M5. Turn on to the filter left towards A38. Continue down A38 about 2 miles past Filton Airfield, then at the Air Balloon roundabout take 3rd exit, B4056, signed for Southmead and Henleaze. Follow B4056 towards Henleaze for about 2 miles over 3 small roundabouts.  In half a mile approaching the High Street you’ll see an Esso garage on the left, with a small Tesco store attached. The church is directly across the main road from there. Park where you can and cross to the church, on the corner of Waterford Road. The hall is next to the church, on Waterford Road itself, and our sign is outside when we are open.
